Flock School 2023

On 28nd and 29nd September 2023 our popular FLOCK SCHOOL workshop took place at our member SCHNIER Elektrostatik GmbH  in Reutlingen. We were very pleased to welcome participants from China, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, England and Germany to this event.

On the first day of our workshop, the participants learned the theoretical basics of flocking. Andreas Fröhler (Flock Depot GmbH) spoke about the raw material flock and its production, Günther Holzinger (CHT Germany) gave a very interesting lecture about the variety of adhesives. Andrea Levi (AIGLE Macchine SRL) explained the machines for processing and David Caro presented the entire process of flocking.

On the second day, as always, the practical part of our workshop took place. Here, all the participants were able to try everything out for themselves in the flocking lab. They applied adhesive using a squeegee and by spraying. Then they flocked their own certificates with a hand flocking device. They also tested the difference between purely electrostatic flocking and electrostatic-pneumatic flocking on three-dimensional objects.

It was again a very successful event. We thank the speakers for their lectures and their professional knowledge.
